We Are All About the Economy! HEY! STOP LAUGHING!

So, Romney Campaign’s Eric Fehrnstrom claims:

“President Obama is desperate to run a ‘change the subject’ campaign.  The subject has been the economy, is the economy, and will be the economy. Mitt Romney doesn’t want to change the subject, he wants to change the economy and that’s what he’s going to do as president.”

Mitt Romney and other supporters apparently missed that memo. Romney declared:

“The pledge says ‘under God.  I will not take God out of the name of our platform, I will not take God off our coins, and I will not take God out of my heart!”

Aside from the fact nobody is pitching this idea of removing these things (Most every Atheist I am aware of doesn’t give a lot of concern to the “In God We Trust” on money and stuff -but seriously-how do Christians not get the painful irony of putting in God We Trust on MONEY?!) it is also worth noting that sitting behind him onstage?  Pat Robertson.  Yeah.  This guy.

It is really laughable for Romney to accuse Obama of pandering to his base when one sees complete and utter devotion to pandering being performed by Mitt with such gusto.  He is pandering to Pat Robertson, people.  He thought Pat Robertson was important enough to share a stage with at a campaign stop.  Nothing Obama has done even comes close.

  1. Heh. I rather wondered about the whole “God” thing on the coins as well. To the best of my knowledge, no one is trying to remove it, or has even brought the subject up…except for Mitt Romney.

I think he’s flailing around for something…anything to take people’s minds off of his unreleased tax returns.
