There Is No Litmus Test

For the who qualify as the least of these.

When Jesus spoke of the “least of these”, he offered no unique qualifiers such as:

As long as they don’t go and misuse your help.  As long as they are imprisoned wrongfully/for noble reasons (defending the faith, for instance).  As long as they are not suffering the results of their own poor choices.  As long as they were/are not trying to live beyond their means.  As long as they are smart enough and faultless in their situation.  As long as they are being “responsible”.  The list goes on.

There seems to be an endless list of reasons not to help people.  But really, if you are going to take Jesus at his word on the Least of These?  None of those reasons matter one bit.
