Nope No Racism Here!
Um.. totally seriously.
Not a racist.
The e-mail that this woman sent out featured a photo-shopped picture of two apes holding a baby. The apes are dressed in Sundays best and the baby is Barack Obama. The accompanying text?
Under the words, “Now you know why no birth certificate,” there’s an Obama family portrait showing them as apes.
(Donald Trump must be elated to finally have an explanation about Obama’s true birth circumstances.)
And Davenport’s defense?
“Oh, come on! Everybody who knows me knows that I am not a racist. It was a joke. I have friends who are black. Besides, I only sent it to a few people–mostly people I didn’t think would be upset by it.”
It’s like a greatest hits of racist “I am Not a Racist” defenses. Listen, if you constantly have to defend yourself with “I have black friends”? You might be a racist. If you have to keep saying “I’m not a racist“? You might be a racist.

But did she send the picture to one of her many many black friends?
I was actually wondering the same thing. She is now trying to hide behind “satire”.
She should just add “This may not be politically correct” and make it a hat trick.
